Ombre hair may have been around for a while, but it is still one of the hottest hair colour trends for this year!

Long or short hair, you can enjoy this look. It can be a subtle change to your existing hair colour, or bright and colourful as the celebrities have shown. Make your booking with us at Trending Hair to add Ombre hair extensions.

What is Ombre hair?

The word ‘Ombre’ means shade or shading. When used to talk about hair, it usually means hair that is darker at the roots and lighter at the tips. This style tends to gradually change shade from root to tip but the difference in colour from root to tip can be extreme.

What is Balayage?

Balayage is a sun-kissed look you rock after a fortnight on the beach! Different from Ombre, a Balayage treatment gives softer, less noticeable regrowth lines. This ‘less is more’ approach creates a soft, natural look. This is a look that will grow out without roots, so Trending Hair could add extensions to match the final tip colour giving you a thicker, longer look! Kelly Brook has shown off some light brunette tips.

What is dip-dye?

Dip-dye is similar to Ombre or Balayage in that the tips of your hair are a different colour to your roots but, as the name suggests, the finished effect is hair that looks like it has been dipped, suddenly becoming a different shade.

Maybe those of you with longer hair can have some bright coloured extensions underneath the top layer of hair for the weekend, you could style your hair down or up if needed for work – there is no need to shy away from the colour trends just because you can’t show them off at work!
Rita Ora has been snapped with some fun shades of pink and yellow.
